
Anthony David Gonzalez was born February 27, 1976. He is an American football tight end. He played 17 seasons with the National Football League. Regarded as one of the greatest tight end players ever and the NFL's all-time leading player in receptions and receiving yards by a tight-end, while also ranking third in overall receptions. Gonzalez played his first 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who picked him in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. For the last five years as a player of the Atlanta Falcons. Since his retirement in 2013 Gonzalez has worked as an analyst for football on NFL on Prime Video and was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez completed his career with 14 Pro Bowl selections, the most for a tightend and the second-highest in league history, in addition to receiving six All-Pros from the first team. Known for his durability and never fumbling, Gonzalez appeared in 270 of 272 regular season games and only lost two fumbles across 1,327 passes. In 2019, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
